Model United Nations

The fourth Model United Nations conference to be held at St Paul’s School will take place from Friday 14 – Sunday 16 January 2022.

Model United Nations is a student debating activity which follows the format of a United Nations assembly. Delegations take the role of individual countries and work together in committees to debate and resolve a range of different topics. At SPSMUN22, there will be six committees. One – SOCHUM 1994 – will be set in the past, enabling students to debate the situation and consequences of the Rwandan Civil War.

Our conference is aimed at students from Years 10-13. No prior experience of Model United Nations is required, but some interest in politics and debating is advisable. More information about the event can be found on our conference website: www.spsmun.co.uk

Applications for school delegations are now open, and close on 5 November 2021. All delegations must be accompanied by a teacher. The cost of the conference is £40 per delegate, and £25 per teacher: some limited bursarial support may be available for schools in the state sector. We hope very much that you will be interested in attending our conference, and look forward to welcoming you at St Paul’s in January.
