About West London Partnership

We collaborate in promoting the best practice in education, engaging with a range of partners to enhance education and opportunity.

The West London Partnership is an association of secondary schools from both the independent and state sectors in West and South West London. Further information about the current members of the partnership is available here.

Our overarching aims and aspirations are:

  • To create a genuine partnership built on sustainable, collaborative projects where schools and other institutions work together, sharing resources and expertise, to address educational needs and to enrich learning for everyone.
  •  To maintain and co-ordinate the good work already begun while sharing ideas and new initiatives so that we learn from each other and ensure maximum impact, reach and engagement and help to break down barriers, promoting social mobility and social cohesion by being inclusive to all levels and abilities.
  •  To collaborate in promoting best practice in education and to engage with a range of partners to enhance education and opportunity.

To facilitate these, the partnership and partner schools will also aim to:

  • Have leadership representatives from both Independent and Maintained schools develop approaches to collaborative teaching and learning.
  • Promote events and opportunities equally across the partnership and seek out and negotiate opportunities, including financial, as they arise to further the partnership, its aims and outcome.

Members will have full access to the partnership, and a role in its direction and development.  The partnership intends to grow slowly and steadily, with a small group of full membership schools responsible for its governance. The partnership will remain inclusive for schools in the West and South West area to join as Participant Members.  Each year there will be an opportunity to review membership according to the capacity and appetite to engage.

The Partnership Board, consisting of the heads of the member schools, will oversee the strategic direction of the West London Partnership. The Directors’ Executive Group, consisting of a senior manager from each member school, is answerable to the Partnership Board for the delivery of the annual objectives, and the promotion and marketing of the partnership and its projects.
