
We have an exciting opportunity to come and see a LIVE science show delivered by the team from the National Physical Laboratory (NPL).
All shows are entirely FREE to attend and will be presented in the Wathen Hall at St Paul’s School (click for map) during the school day on Friday 12 December 2025.
There show on offer is for KS3 students exploring extreme temperatures, involving liquid nitrogen, lasting approximately 50 minutes, see timings below.

To secure places for your students to attend these shows please fill in the Google Form linked above for each show stating the number of students you wish to bring by Thursday 4 December. All shows are totally free to attend although students and teachers will have to make their own way to and from our school site.
We have a capacity of 300 for each show which will be filled on a first come first served basis. We ask that you initially book a maximum of 60 student and 10 adult tickets. If you would like more tickets than this state so on the form and we will be in touch the week before the shows if there is additional availability. Also please inform us if there is any reduction in the number of tickets you require.

Tailored appropriately for the audience, the liquid nitrogen show demonstrates kinetic theory (solids, liquids, gases) and temperature through a combination of audience interactions and table top demonstrations.
